MITIE, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcer and energy services company, yesterday launched a new lighting service called Lighting In Future Environments (LIFE).
The service will involve MITIE taking on the long-term management of a lighting estate for a fixed term, giving property owners control of their budgets and peace of mind.
By taking on the management of property owners’ estates, MITIE can offer in-built guarantees around running costs, maintenance and energy savings.
LIFE covers all aspects of the lighting process, including design, installation, energy supply and technical upgrades, making up a ‘total lifecycle package.’
For example, MITIE will update the LED chips to more energy efficient versions when they become available, therefore maximising cost savings and energy efficiency.
MITIE is working alongside the worlds’ leading ‘Grade A’ light manufacturers and UK businesses to develop the innovative service, which is not aligned to any particular manufacturer.
The official launch, which took place on Thursday 10th May at Vinopolis in London, included a preview of real time case study examples of LIFE in action from the retail, commercial office and industrial sectors.
